As part of the ongoing Seminar Series run by The Centre for Research on
Families and Relationships, we announce the forthcoming seminar:

Thinking About Bodies And Weapons As Forces Of
Coercion
Cynthia Cockburn, Visiting Professor in the Department of Sociology, City
University London, and an Honorary Professor in the Centre for the Study of
Women and Gender, University of Warwick.

Cynthia Cockburn is a feminist researcher and writer. She is a Visiting
Professor in the Department of Sociology, City University London, and an
Honorary Professor in the Centre for the Study of Women and Gender,
University of Warwick. She is also active in the international women's
movement against militarism and war. Her research since 1995 has been on
gender in processes of war and peace, and her most recent book is From Where
We Stand: War, Women's Activism and Feminist Analysis (Zed Books 2007).
